April 2021
"Senior Spotlight"
This month, the Bern Seiderman Gallery’s virtual exhibit is our annual ‘Senior Spotlight Show’ featuring the various artistic approaches explored by our Senior Portfolio Preparation Class. Students at this level are given the freedom to investigate a variety of different materials and approaches of their own choosing, under the guidance and mentorship of Art Teacher, Mr. Tom Sena. Students this year have created exceptional work using everything from traditional graphite and paint, to more sophisticated mediums including encaustic wax, collage, and digital approaches. Despite the inherent challenges of a “hands-on” class during this “New Normal” environment, this year’s group has already surpassed half a million dollars in art talent scholarships, and continue to be accepted into the top fine arts programs in the nation. Take a moment to enjoy the Class of 2021’s final “Swan Song”, as many embark next year on to continued success in college-level art programs after experiencing one of the strongest high school foundations anywhere in the country.
