"Sticking Together"
The Bern Seiderman Gallery is proud to present its National Art Honor Society Show entitled “Sticking Together”. On February 25th, over 50 members will be inducted into the Lynbrook High School National Art Honor Society chapter 2686. The National art honor society is designed to aid members in attaining the highest standards in art scholarship, character, and service, and to bring art education to the attention of the school and community.
Each year to accompany the NAHS induction ceremony the students come together to create a group art exhibit. This year’s exhibit “Sticking Together” was chosen by the National Art Honor Society officers and provides the members with a theme to interpret and portray in their artwork. Each student learned about this year’s theme at a meeting in early January and were asked to create an original piece of art to demonstrate their interpretation of that theme. “Sticking Together” was just one of the many ideas’ discussed by the NAHS officers. It presented many challenges to the members. In addition to determining the subject matter of their work, the members had to incorporate elements of collage on cardboard. Each member approached this challenge in their own unique way. The result is one of the most creative Induction shows to date. Please take the time to enjoy this year NAHS Induction show, “Sticking Together”.
